HVAC Installation Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Installation of HVAC heating and cooling systems to

obtain the most efficient operating results and life expectancy Keeping

record of parts or materials used, and planning what will be needed

Maintain truck inventory; restocking as needed and keeping vehicle clean

and organized Willing to work from heights (ladders, roofs, scissor

lifts, etc.) Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices Assemble,

position, and mount heating or cooling equipment, following blueprints

or manufacturer\'s specifications. Comply with all applicable standards,

policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of

a clean work area. Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to

fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete circuit. Cut or

drill holes in floors, walls, or roof to install equipment, using power

saws or drills. Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work or chassis

parts, using portable metal-working tools or welding equipment. Inspect

and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and

specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions. Install and test

automatic, programmable, or wireless thermostats in residential or

commercial buildings to minimize energy usage for heating or cooling.

Adjust system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to

balance system. Install auxiliary components to heating or cooling

equipment, such as expansion or discharge valves, air ducts, pipes,

blowers, dampers, flues, or stokers. Discuss heating or cooling system

malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs

corrected malfunctions. Install or repair air purification systems, such

as specialized filters or ultraviolet (UV) light purification systems.

Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers. Lay out

and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment, according

to wiring diagrams, using electrician\'s hand tools. Measure, cut,

thread, or bend pipe or tubing, using pipe fitter\'s tools. \*\*\*\*\*

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in HVAC installation

preferred Familiar with HVAC wiring diagrams Strong problem solving and

critical thinking skills Professional appearance, positive attitude and

great communication skills 100% dedication to working hard, being on

time, and staying organized Comfortable interacting with

customers/clients in a friendly professional manner Able to work

independently and in a team setting Follow procedures as directed by

management and communicate problems as they arise Must have a valid

Driver\'s License and insurable driving record Pass a background check
