Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineer Entry Level in one of the below posting locations. In this role you will work with local municipalities and other clients alongside our experienced engineers to plan, design and manage a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, municipal, water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure. Posting Location for this role: Effingham, IL Job Activities:
- Responsible for technical aspects of civil municipal projects including potable water, sanitary and storm sewer, water resources, grading, site improvements, and roadways
- Report directly to project/client manager to provide the technical support needed for deliverables
- Perform onsite construction observation to verify adherence to plans and specifications, measure/document project quantities for payment to contractor(s), and provide status updates to Project Manager and Client
- Monitor work completed relative to project schedule and budget
- Communicate with other Project Stakeholders, Owners, Farnsworth Group team members, regulatory agencies, and contractors
- Work in AutoCAD to design improvements, measure quantities, and create exhibits
- Prepare and develop construction documents and plans
- Prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies as necessary
- Assist with business development efforts
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 0-2 years of engineering experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D a plus
- Proficiency or willingness to learn modeling (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWorks)
