Position Overview: An established engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical/Controls Engineer to support equipment design and system integration for complex production environments. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem solver who can identify practical solutions to technical challenges, contribute to new equipment builds, and ensure smooth system installation and performance.

Integrate electrical systems into the design and development of new equipment.
Research and select electrical components and field devices for manufacturing and production systems.
Oversee the manufacturing and installation of electrical systems and hardware.
Inspect facilities and installations to assess system quality and operational efficiency.
Design testing procedures to validate system performance and functionality.
Ensure new systems and components meet regulatory standards and customer requirements.
Innovate and enhance manufacturing and assembly processes through research and testing.
Collect and analyze technical data to support project reporting and decision-making.
Facilitate communication between engineering, production, and support teams for project success.
Troubleshoot and resolve unforeseen design or implementation issues.
Maintain accurate databases of equipment, components, and system documentation.
Train and supervise technicians in project and equipment execution.
Stay current with industry developments through continued education, networking, and professional involvement.
Review relevant publications to monitor advancements in electrical engineering.
Travel up to 30% may be required for on-site installations and inspections.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience in an electrical engineering or controls-focused role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Hands-on experience in PLC programming, specifically Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7.
Familiarity with Siemens hardware including:
300 and 1500 series PLCs
Remote I/O Systems
Safety I/O
S120 & G120 Drive Systems
Ability to develop and communicate technical documentation clearly and effectively.
In-depth understanding of electrical components, systems, and materials.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong presentation and team collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as HART, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and others.
