Job Description:

Twin City Staffing is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join a dynamic team in Coon Rapids, MN. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary between $105,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience. Wage: $105,000 - $125,000 per year - Depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility required)

Duties of the electrical engineer:

Design and develop electrical control systems for LV and MV switchgear

Create and modify electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical

Ensure compliance with UL, IEEE, NFPA, and CSA standards

Collaborate with teams to optimize designs and resolve technical issues

Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance to manufacturing teams

Develop engineering standards and best practices

Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems

Assist with product certification and compliance documentation

Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met

Provide training and technical support to internal teams and customers

Requirements of the electrical engineer:

5+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in switchgear or power systems

Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office

In-depth knowledge of UL, CSA, IEEE, and NFPA standards

Experience with engineering and compliance standards implementation

Skilled in troubleshooting and programming PLCs and HMIs

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
