The Role -
Amphenol Military High Speed is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work out ofits state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
The key responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include, but are notlimited to:
Develops product designs and/or test methodsPerforms or defines complex texts for evaluation of product, equipment, orprocessesReviews and creates schematics, PCB layouts using layout rulesDebugging whether it's hardware or software relatedUsing bench test equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) as partof the hardware verification/debug processWorks independently in planning and coordinating resources necessary tocomplete assignmentsPerforming PCB rework such as soldering, applying soft wire, and componentreplacementInnovative and demonstrates significant ingenuity in problem solving andsuggesting plans of actionReviews and analyses a variety of data to determine requirements for meetingengineering objectivesInteracts independently with customers, vendors, and Amphenol personnel onsignificant design, process, or evaluation issuesCreates small scripts using a software language for firmware or to automatetest equipmentMay direct other employeesCoordinates and provides support to other departments within the company
Salary: $61,500 - $85,000

The key skills and qualities of an Electrical Engineer at Amphenol Military HighSpeed:
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or Associate's degreeand relevant experienceExperience with Computer-Aided Design (Mentor Graphics PADS or equivalent)is requiredPersonal computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office programsare also requiredA background with fiber optic communication is preferred, but not requiredA familiarity with software is desirable such as C, C#, FPGA, or python
