Our core values: care, courage, curiosity, and collaboration - combined with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities - are key drivers in our aim to empower everyone to create sustainable solutions.Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports toExcitation Proposal ManagerYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will demonstrate your knowledge by reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with relevant group/division/business directives, instructions, and company procedures.Preferred working model is: Hybrid, if hired in Canada, or remote, if in US.The responsibilities of the role include:- Develop contract strategies in line with ABB's policies, customer requirements, and project execution plans - factoring in risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.- Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with internal directives, procedures, and legal standards.- Support procurement and sales teams by analyzing contractual terms, identifying risks, preparing risk mitigation plans, and offering contract-related guidance.- Prepare and manage cost models, insurance and bond pricing, risk assessments, and Risk Reviews - ensuring timely and accurate delivery.- Plan and coordinate complex project setups (e.g., Wayfair, Buy America, Regional orders), and align with the supply chain team on special customer requirements involving third parties.- Maintain well-organized, up-to-date records of contracts and supporting documentation, and assist in optimizing the contract review process in collaboration with the legal counsel team.- Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing issues based on lessons learned and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.Qualifications for the roleA keen interest in reading and commenting on contracts, as well as conducting high-level negotiations.A minimum of 5 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in Contract Management, Vendor Management, Customer Management, and internal stakeholder engagement.In-depth knowledge of project planning/program analysis, combined with demonstrated business acumen, integrity, a results-oriented approach, and effective problem-solving skills.A commitment to delivering effective presentations and communications, along with proficient leadership, interpersonal, and cross-cultural engagement skills.A degree in Business, Administration, or Law, with a specialization relevant to system contracts, is preferred.Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required; Spanish language knowledge is considered as advantageBenefitsRetirement planAccident insuranceHealthcare planWellbeing programMore about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
