Responsible for laying hardwood flooring in establishments such as buildings, gymnasiums, recreational centers, roller rinks. Uses various materials, Athletic floor systems.PRIMARY DUTIESInspect and clean surface in preparation for material.Measure area to determine amount of materials needed.Sweep, scrape, sand, or chip dirt and irregularities from base surfaces, and fill cracks with putty.Cut flooring materials.Use nail guns, sanders and edgers.Unroll and install polyethylene film.Install padded under layer to reduce noise.Install floor covering and ensure there are no cracks.Clean up job site.Replace any defective flooring material.
