Overview
Herzog Railroad Services Inc. is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician in St Joseph, MO to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rail Car Facility.
The pay range for this position is $29 - $38 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
* Installing and repairing electrical systems associated with, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic components as needed.
* Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
* Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
* Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Must have at least 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical * Experience with some low voltage and control wiring preferred, some training can be provided * Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems * Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our client * Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment * Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation * Able to travel and work some weekends when required * High standard of integrity and professionalism * Valid driver's license Pre-Employment Requirements: * Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. * Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position. * Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This position will be physically demanding at times.
