If you'repassionate about this, we want to hear from you!About the RoleMWHis currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team in Broomfield,CO. This position will ensure compliance with government regulations,statutes, and conformance with MWH's policies and practices.This role will support multiple projects of various sizes and complexity. Itis expected that the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of keycomponents found in both standard and non-standard construction andsubcontracts contracts (e.g., indemnity, insurance, waivers ofconsequential damages, liability caps, force majeure, warranty,payment provisions, etc.), as well as experience in reviewing otherrelated contract documents, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs),subcontracts, purchase orders, teaming agreements, joint ventureagreements, rental agreements, etc. This position also assists in proposalsupport, negotiation, and management and execution of contracts andsubcontracts in conjunction with Legal, Sales, and Operations.The ideal candidate should know "construction specific" contractprinciples and understand how those principles should be properly allocated toeliminate or mitigate risk.Essential FunctionsThis position will support the Legal and Risk Team with preparation,negotiation, and execution of a variety of commercial contracts acrossMWHC's lines of business, and in conformance with MWHC's policies andpracticesSupport MWHC's Procurement Team with questions pertaining to insurance andbond requirements, subcontracts, purchase orders, vendor agreements, etc.Coordinate with the Legal and Risk Team and advise the Project Management Teamon contractual risk and provide recommendations to mitigate those risks.Negotiate changes to contract terms and conditions to reduce risk exposure.Assist in developing contract risk summaries.Participate in risk reviews and functional management team reviews.Support Legal and Risk Team with subcontractor, vendor and suppliernegotiations.Provide pre-claim and claim support and resources to legal and project teamsto prepare and negotiate claims as required.Basic QualificationsFour-year degree in legal studies, business administration, engineering,construction management, or related field or equivalent combination ofexperience, skills, and training.Minimum 5 years' experience working in-house for a professional services orconstruction company.Minimum 8 years' experience in compliance with contract managementprocesses, management of negotiations of terms in construction agreements,and subcontract and vendors..Understanding of laws and regulations relating to commercial and/or federalconstruction contracting.Knowledge of risk and insurance management.Proven experience negotiating and creating contracts.Possess knowledge of subcontracting, supplier agreements, insurance andbond requirements, term resolution negotiations with subcontractors andsuppliers, as well as suppling prime contracting support.Posses knowledge of alternative delivery methods, including CMAR, DB,CMS and Hard Bid project delivery methods. Familiar with applicable terms andrequirements of construction and related agreements.Ability to prioritize and work under tight timelines to meet deadlines and toshift work activities to meet immediate response needs.Must be detail oriented.Proactive and work well independently.Ability to manage time sensitive matters, multitask and manage competingpriorities.Possess excellent writing/grammar/spelling skills.Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including wordprocessing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint, as well as an aptitude forlearning new database software.
