What You'll Do:
- Installs, replaces and repairs quarry and ceramic tile.
- Performs demolition work on existing materials prior to new installation.
- Builds and repairs District masonry (e.g., tile, ceramic glazed tile, brick or block walls, capstones, lintel).
- Retrofits masonry walls.
- Cuts and saws brick, block and tile.
- Cuts door and window openings, and mixes and pumps grout into frame.
- Mixes mortar, concrete and grout for repairs and installation.
- Tuck points mortar joints, matching mortar color and texture.
- Caulks control and expansion joints in masonry walls and concrete floors.
- Prepares layout and builds brick and block walls.
- Evaluates repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints; and considering industry standards, practices and procedures.
- Communicates and coordinates with staff at work site and other shop staff.
- Prepares and cleans up job site (e.g., erecting scaffold structures) taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others (e.g., students, employees), and disposes of waste and flammable materials.
- Reviews work orders, prioritizes, and determine supplies for repair and purchases supplies using District purchase order system.
- Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade, as an apprentice.
- Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis.
- Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- L2: Four (4) years of experience
- Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards.
- District-specific training or equivalent required for all levels.

- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
