Job Summary:
CT Mechanical is seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent for our Jacksonville location. As a Superintendent, you will oversee the execution of projects in plumbing, mechanical HVAC, and pipefitting, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of production and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Ensure site safety compliance with all applicable safety codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality and finish of all work projects to meet company standards and expectations, promoting a reputation of excellence.
- Production Goals: Maintain high levels of production to meet profitability goals.
- Heavy Lifting Assistance: Assist in all heavy lifting activities, including crane lifts, rigging, and forklifts.
- Project Layout Assistance: Assist with layout and verify as-built drawings are kept up-to-date and accurate.
- Daily Reporting: Verify that daily reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Communication Availability: Be available by phone every hour that projects are being supervised.
- Material Management: Assist with material takeoffs and orders.
- Project Meetings: Attend project meetings as needed.
- Field Support: Provide support and creative solutions for field labor and resources.
- Scheduling: Assist with scheduling field labor for all reasonable schedule needs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with PMs, GCs, and other stakeholders on all aspects of projects.
- Positive Reinforcement: Help provide positive reinforcement to the field labor.
- Training: Assist in training the future and current workforce in best practice methods.
- Standard Employee Requirements: Adhere to standard employee requirements as outlined in the employee handbook.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, equipment, tools, and materials used in the mechanical trades.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of responsible construction experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to read and analyze construction plans and specifications.
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Knowledge and experience in the general site work demo and deconstruction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.
- Clean driving record and background.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Hydronic experience.
- Sheet metal experience.
- Refrigeration piping experience.
- Equipment installation experience.
- EPA Certification.
- Possession of required hand tools and torch set.
