Our team in the US is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Tucson or Denver office.
About the role
Prepare cost effective civil and site utility designs from conceptual design through to detail design, tender and construction in accordance with local codes and standards for mining & industrial projects.
Perform site visits, inspections, preparation of reports, functional and detailed design relating to water and wastewater distribution and collection system, storm water management facilities, grading and bulk earthworks, parking lots and roads as related to mine sites.
As applicable, act as engineer of record or discipline lead, providing direction and review to drafting and engineering staff in the preparation of designs, design drawings, contract documents, engineering specifications and cost estimates for civil projects.
Supervision and mentoring of junior and mid level civil engineers.
Construction administration including report writing, preparation of specifications and estimates.
Coordinate with project managers and various disciplines engineers and ensure consistency in execution of civil design activities toplete project work on time, on budget, and within the quality standards.

About you
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Registered as a Professional Engineer in the United States, and member in good standing.
15+ years' experience, primarily in the design of civil infrastructure for mining & heavy industrial projects (including bulk earthworks, roads, storm sewers, storm water management and drainage, and site services and utilities).
Municipal design experience is an asset.
Experience in leading and dealing directly with design teams, clients, and approval agencies.
Experience in construction and contract administration is an asset.
Experience with Civil 3D.
Experience in consulting engineering is preferred.
Strong oral and writtenmunication skills
Highly motivated with strongmitment to teamwork
