Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance and functionality of essential machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: West Des Moines, IA

Shift: 1st shift 7am-3:30 pm
2nd shift: 3:30 pm-12:00 am

Pay Range: Competitive salary based on experience

What's the Job?

• Perform a variety of work to maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of facilities in good condition.
• Conduct machine repair, carpentry, painting, welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility mechanical components and electrical systems.
• Provide support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.
• Document repair and preventative maintenance work completed in compliance with standard operating procedures.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance, preferably in a similar field.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) with flexibility for extended shifts or overtime as required.
• Willingness to comply with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
