Carpenter
Pearson Center 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 8 hours, 5 days a week
Primary Job Function:
Under general direction from the Carpenter/General Construction Foreman provides carpentry services to the district.
QUALIFICATIONS
General Duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective
functioning of the work unit
Knowledge of:
Computer and Software programs within the district
Skilled in:
Must possess communication skills both written and verbal.
Positive Customer Service
Ability to:
Multitask, stay organized
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- Must be a Journeyman Carpenter having completed the appropriate apprenticeship
- training and have at least three (3) years documented experience as a Journeyman
- Must possess valid driver's license and meet Toledo Public Schools vehicle fleet
- insurance criteria and maintain the same
- Must be able to work under extreme conditions including inclement weather, crawl
- spaces, and varying heights of scaffolding
- Must possess communication skills both written and verbal
- Must have knowledge of computers
- Must pass Toledo Public Schools related skills and physical standards testing.
- Specific Job-Related Experience:
- Must be experienced in both finish and rough carpentry.
- Must be skilled in the operation of all related equipment and vehicles.
- Must have own tools at time of appointment.
