Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil - Excavation, Grading

A reputable contractor with a long-standing presence in commercial and residential excavation and grading, is seeking a Senior Estimator to play a key leadership role within the organization.

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in estimating and project management, who also brings a book of business and the leadership capabilities to act as a second-in-command. This is a high-impact role with clear opportunity to influence company direction and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead estimating efforts on a variety of excavation, grading, and site development projects
• Manage bids from takeoff through final submission, including pricing and strategy
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids
• Maintain strong relationships and pursue opportunities within your existing network
• Assist in project management as needed—schedule development, budget tracking, and hand-off to field teams
• Serve as a key voice in business development, team mentoring, and operational strategy

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating
• Experience in excavation, grading, or mining-related scopes
• Strong local industry relationships
• Project management experience preferred
• Strategic mindset and leadership ability
