Job Summary:

L.G. Everist, Inc., founded in 1876, produces and supplies sand, gravel, and quarried stone throughout the Midwest region of the United States. The Welder is responsible for basic welding with basic materials, as well as any other duties as instructed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Does not have any direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform flat and vertical welding

Operate and understand cutting torch and plasma cutter

Fabrication ability

Follow directions easily

Working knowledge of welding equipment and tools

Ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance

Working safely is a condition of employment

Ability to follow and communicate procedures and policies

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Self-discipline to operate without supervision

Good work attendance is a must

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED

Valid Driver's license required

Physical Requirements:

Performing the job's essential functions requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; also walking over uneven terrain and climbing ladders

This position must frequently lift, move, and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance
