The Site Contract Manager will ensure the successful negotiation and ongoing management of clinical trial agreements and serve as the key liaison between Clinical Operations, Legal, and Finance departments. This role involves but is not limited to generating, reviewing, finalizing and tracking Site Agreements and Budgets, and managing cross-functional communication. This individual will be expected to support the clinical team in the pricing, planning, execution and control of contracts. The ideal candidate tasks effectively and applies critical thinking to resolve challenges while maintaining clear communication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive contract lifecycle management.
- Generate, review, negotiate and finalize CDAs, Clinical Trial Agreements, Amendments, Letters of Indemnification, and other contracts as needed.
- Negotiate contract and budget with site via CRO until resolution and finalization.
- Serve as point person for site agreements and budgets with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify site contract related risks and lead efforts to obtain contract approval to meet study deliverables.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and other internal and external stakeholders to review contractual terms, assess risks, and secure approvals.
- Establish a contracting SOP and implement a contract tracking database.
- Manage tracking of contracts, amendments and budgets, and provide updates to the project and cross-functional teams.
- Support internal oversight of site payment management.
- Active participation in team meetings for the purpose of expediting the contract to execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external customers, investigators, and vendors.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from internal team members and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and contract administration skills, verbal and written communication skills.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines, addressing QA and audit requests as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years' experience in a contract management position within a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
- Clinical Site Budget experience necessary.
- Experience within Global Oncology Phase 1-3 clinical trials preferred.
- Grant Plan experience a plus.
- Good knowledge of ICH-GCP, pharmaceutical related regulations and laws.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growing company with minimal direction and ability to adjust to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level required.
$140,000 - $150,000 a year
In addition to a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $150,000, we offer stock options, restricted stock units, a stock purchase plan (ESPP) and a target bonus.
