Job Description:

J. Newman Painting LLC is seeking experienced Painters to join our growing team in Oneida, N.Y.. We are known for delivering high-quality residential and commercial painting services throughout Central New York. If you are skilled, dependable, and ready to bring craftsmanship to every project, we want to hear from you!

We offer a per diem for travel. The employee would travel from their home location to various job sites. 50% of our work is in Skaneateles. Other sites are in the Fayetteville area, with a few other locations in the approximate area.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare surfaces for painting (scraping, sanding, priming, caulking)

- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Protect surrounding areas (furniture, floors, fixtures) during painting

- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

- Handle minor drywall repairs and surface touch-ups as needed

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in painting or construction

- Valid New York State driver's license required

- Ability to commute daily, worksites can vary from Syracuse to Skaneateles

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Physically able to stand, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs

Salary:

- $21.50 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
