Structural Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Structural Engineer in the Columbus, OH area for a direct hire opportunity. This resource will be leading a team of two junior engineers while providing structural design for different projects. This resource will be utilizing CAD software to design different steel and concrete structures. You will plan and execute work to meet schedules and technical requirements. You will develop equipment layouts and produce general arrangement drawings. Other day to day could involve producing engineering calculations and sketches for support structures, access platforms, ductwork, vessels, tanks and buildings. You'll write scopes and obtain bids while evaluating subcontractors to engineering firms and manage that consultant. Communication is key as you'll be working with leadership, senior mechanical engineers, and other junior engineers in your day to day. Other responsibilities: Review and approve all drawings prior to release/issuance. Participate and review RFIs from fabricators and contractors.
