Job Description

Pay Range 15 to 16

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join the company, a premier supplier, in Memphis, TN.

Job Responsibilities:

Uses knowledge of equipment within a trade area to source equipment supply requests (including HVAC parts, pools, and appliances) from contractors at the best possible price and terms.

Uses a sourcing database to locate available equipment from approved suppliers.

Research and order requested equipment from the most cost-effective suppliers.

Works directly with contractors to resolve discrepancies in the purchase orders and determines correct equipment needed or arranges for substitutions, etc.

Processes returns for cancellations.

Enters purchase orders and documents purchases within the customer claim.

Answers inbound calls and makes outbound calls, and provides necessary follow-up.

May assume other duties as applied.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing trade is a plus

Ability to provide customer service and conflict resolution effectively

Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Web)

Good attention to detail skills

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Minimum Experience required?(number of years necessary to perform role):

1+ years customer service and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
