Carbon and Stainless-Steel Welders

I.A.F.D. Inc. is looking for Carbon and Stainless-Steel Welders

• Competitive Pay ($23.00 - 28.00) depending on experience/skill
• Local to Lake Charles
• Per Diem $30.00/day
• Stick and Flux core

Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: weld test taken.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years.
• Must have a TWIC
• Must have experience as a Welder in Industrial Construction.
• Must be willing to support other craft if need be
• Sound understanding of industrial construction safety.
• Pass a Performance weld test

Responsibilities:

• Weld along vertical, horizontal, or overhead weld lines.
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Must be able to set up and/or troubleshoot welding machines as needed.
• Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces.
• Follow all safety requirements
• Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.
