Job Posting: Sign Fabricator and Installer Helper

Location: Mineral Wells, TX (Availability to Travel statewide)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $15 - $18 per hour

Job Summary

J&A Signs is looking for a reliable and hardworking Sign Installer Helper to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of signs across a wide range of locations. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating tools, and being part of a team, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

? Assist with the installation of signs, including measuring, cutting, and applying materials

? Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment

? Help prepare tools, materials, and work areas for installations

? Assist with wiring and connecting signs to power sources

? Support the repair, maintenance, and removal of signs

? Perform quality checks to ensure secure and accurate installations

? Operate or assist with aerial lifts and bucket trucks

? Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring safe and proper use

? Keep vehicles and work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free

? Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times

? Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

? 1+ experience in construction or/and sign fabrication and installation in a Sign environment.

? Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work at heights

? Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform labor-intensive tasks for extended periods

? Comfortable working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.)

? Basic understanding of tools and power equipment (saws, drills, rivet guns, etc.)

? Willingness to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members

? Strong attention to detail and urgency in completing tasks

? Ability to follow safety procedures and wear PPE consistently

? Valid driver's license preferred. CDL is a plus.

Work Environment

? Outdoor work in varying weather conditions

? Construction sites, buildings, highways, shopping centers, etc.

? Use of ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts
