Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000 + Bonus Potential

Purchasing Agent (buying/purchasing/procurement exp. req.) Description
Our client, a real estate developer, is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Purchasing Agent to join their team in Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will work alongside four other agents to support the purchasing process, ensuring that materials and services are sourced effectively and economically to meet project timelines and budgets. To be chosen for this role, you must be familiar with material takeoffs and have proven negotiation skills when working with trade partners. Because they are a smaller, privately held company, you will have more variety in your day allowing for additional opportunities for career development. Their VP of Purchasing joined their team over the last year, and she has made it a point to ensure their environment and culture is filled with fulfillment, resources, and appreciation. Purchasing Agent (buying/purchasing/procurement exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Evaluate suppliers, goods, and services for project needs
• Identify and maintain a network of quality suppliers and trade partners
• Organize the purchasing process and issue purchase orders (POs)
• Review costs and sales prices to ensure competitive positioning and margin goals
• Complete lot starts and validate unit costs before release
• Maintain and monitor project budgets for accuracy
• Input direct costs into the budgeting system and report changes
• Request proposals, negotiate contracts, and obtain favorable pricing and terms
• Process purchase orders efficiently to meet project timelines
• Maintain detailed records of transactions, orders, receipts, and payments.
• Partner with the Construction Manager to align materials and labor
• Prepare thorough direct cost analyses and variance reports for analysis

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience required
• Background in construction, architecture, or trade environments required
• Experience negotiating with trade partners required
• Familiar with materials takeoff required
