**Position Title:*Buyer Purchasing Agent***

**Location:**St. Charles, MO

***Position Summary:***

The Buyer Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing and procurement

functions directly associated with the company\'s needs for all

materials, parts and services. These products and services are to be

secured on time at a competitive cost to budget and project timeline

with 100% quality consistent with company policy and specific

performance standards. Additionally, the position is responsible for the

timely procurement of stock items.

- Research and source suppliers for procurement of materials, supplies

and services. Adhere to company guidelines for utilizing small

business and disadvantaged business sourcing programs.

- Convert purchase requisitions and Bills of Materials into purchase

orders following company policies and procedures. Specific and

special communication along with other responsibilities as assigned

by manager.

- Collect and compare quotations for review.

- Work harmoniously with engineers, project managers, technicians and

other employees, as required, for purchase of products per defined

schedule.

- Expedite and track inbound products as required to support project

needs.

- Assist in investigating and solving supplier related issues.

- Periodically prepare RFQ\'s for critical purchases, special

projects, or as needed, to negotiate improved pricing and payment

terms.

- Assist with cycle counting, using company polices as best practice.

- Maintain positive supplier relationships by:

- Coordinating appropriate quality resolutions between in-house

quality manager and suppliers.

- Communicating engineering/product changes/developments between

suppliers and company.

- Arrange return of defective or unused material to suppliers.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent and five years of buyer

experience.

- Working knowledge of Supply Chain, Materials Sourcing, Planning

Systems and Logistics Routing.

- Solid Analytical Problem Solving and Computer skills.

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, solve practical

problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.

- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with

or without notice, as required, to meet company\'s business

requirements.

- Effective oral and written communication.

- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve

procurement and supply chain objectives.

- Customer service skills to support internal/external customers with

a \"can-do\" attitude.

- Organizational skills to execute in timely manner.

- Effective negotiation skills.

- Ethical business conduct.

- Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with

strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.

- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP system.

- Buyer experience in a manufacturing environment.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Sitting, standing and walking in office, warehouse and manufacturing

environments.

- Ability to bend, lift, and position self to move about the office,

as needed.

- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds may be required.

- Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.

- Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color

vision, and ability to adjust focus.

- Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals,

distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing

protection during specific tasks.
