Are you a creative and driven professional with a passion for planning, design, and urban landscape development? Join our team as a Landscape Architect II, where you'll play a vital role in shaping public spaces throughout the City. This is a dynamic, professional-level position that offers the opportunity to participate in landscape projects from concept through construction, while collaborating with internal teams and contractors.
Working under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, you'll exercise independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to ensure the successful planning and execution of diverse landscape initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, plan, design, and develop construction documents for City landscape projects independently
- Inspect and approve landscaping materials installed by contractors for quality and compliance with Florida Grades and Standards
- Assist with reviewing and commenting on contract documents prepared by outside firms for City-managed projects
- Collaborate with City personnel, design engineers, and project managers on landscape-related matters and renovation plans for existing landscape projects
- Undergo performance reviews conducted through regular conferences, activity reports, and observation

Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or a related field AND four years of professional experience that includes landscape design, land use, and site planning.
Necessary Special Requirements
Must possess a Professional Registration as a Landscape Architect at the time of application. Incumbent must attain a registration as a Landscape Architect in the State of Florida within one year from date of employment.
A valid class "E" State driver's license may be required for designated positions allocated to this class.
Salary Range
$27.9700 to $75.8988/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $51.1178/hour.
