Construction Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Inspector to join our team. The role involves conducting various inspections on construction sites, testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel. You will utilize a nuclear gauge for testing and a tablet for documentation. This position requires carrying equipment for testing purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on construction sites to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Conduct testing of construction materials including soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
  • Utilize a nuclear gauge for testing purposes.
  • Document findings and test results using a tablet.
  • Carry necessary equipment and materials for testing.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in construction inspection and materials testing.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Map reading and mathematical skills are a plus.
  • ACI certification and NICET certification are advantageous.
  • Experience with concrete testing and nuclear gauge equipment.
Work Environment

Work will be conducted at various construction sites, requiring a 40-hour work week with potential night shifts and overtime as weather permits. Typical hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. The dress code includes work boots, jeans, and a button-up shirt. This role involves independent work and daily travel to sites, with the option to collect nuclear gauge equipment before shifts if needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
