Project Manager Land Development

Location: Jackson, NJ (On-site with limited hybrid flexibility)

Salary: $80,000 $120,000

Our tight-knit team is composed of experienced professionals who prioritize precision, accountability, and long-term relationships. As a Project Manager, youll be working directly with the owner and overseeing projects from conception through completion.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on project management role with direct responsibility for leading land development projects and coordinating between clients, agencies, and internal teams. Youll guide projects through permitting and approval processes, supervise technical staff, and ensure quality control and timely execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple land development projects simultaneously.
• Oversee and review engineering plans for stormwater management, site layout, grading, and utilities.
• Handle regulatory submissions and work directly with NJDEP, Pinelands Commission, municipal and county boards, and other review agencies.
• Coordinate with internal and remote engineering staff to ensure project efficiency.
• Serve as the main client contact, addressing project issues and navigating agency approvals.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, and schedules.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• PE license required (NJ preferred).
• 2+ years of experience managing civil engineering projects, especially in residential/commercial site development.
• Strong understanding of New Jersey land use procedures, stormwater regulations, and utility design.
• Proven ability to lead projects independently with minimal oversight.
• Clear communicator with experience handling clients, contractors, and agency officials.
• Must be local to Ocean/Monmouth Counties, NJ or surrounding areas and able to work on-site 4-5 days per week (with potential for 1 day remote if appropriate).
