LOCATION: This is a traveling position requiring frequent travel to project sites across the Midwest region. Per diem will be provided.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Plumber who is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground piping systems, including water lines, sewer systems, and related infrastructure on construction project sites.

Job Functions:

• Install, maintain, and repair underground water and sewer piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine the layout and routing of pipes.
• Operate heavy equipment and tools to dig trenches, lay pipes, and backfill excavated areas.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
• Inspect existing underground plumbing systems for issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other tradespeople on-site.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Document work completed and report progress to supervisors or project managers.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or plumbing certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in underground plumbing or utility installation.
• Experience with excavation, trenching, and working with a variety of pipe materials in compliance with safety and building codes.
• Valid plumbing license (if required by state or municipality).
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in underground utility work.
• Ability to read construction drawings and interpret utility markings.
• Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to get badged on Military Facilities, if required.
• Ability to work out of town.
