Position Description:
Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and project teams to enforce site compliance with company, EH&S programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Lead implementation of the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites
Guide project teams in developing site-specific electrical safety plans and activities
Conduct safety orientations, electrical training, and train-the-trainer sessions
Review safety submittals and participate in preconstruction and subcontractor meetings
Mentor and manage Safety Engineers and Coordinators, including performance evaluations
Oversee safety data tracking, injury/hazard analysis, and OSHA reporting
Conduct safety audits and assist with major incident investigations
Monitor subcontractor safety practices and ensure compliance
Manage Return to Work and Modified Duty programs
Collaborate with Risk Management and client safety personnel
Review project work plans to ensure safety integration
Serve as a resource for electrical safety and industrial hygiene concerns
Ensure maintenance and inspection of safety equipment
Support safety performance goals and metrics for the operating group
Represent the company in interactions with unions, industry groups, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of construction safety experience.
CSP certification preferred.
Highly organized with multitasking ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety software.
Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret and communicate policies.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and public speaking skills.
Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
Bachelor's in Safety or related field (or equivalent experience with CHST, OSHA 500, and 10 years in construction, including 6 years in safety management).
