Asphalt Finish Roller Operator

We are seeking a skilled **Asphalt Finish and Roller Operator** to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating paving and rolling equipment to lay, smooth, and compact asphalt surfaces for roadways, driveways, and parking lots. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment are essential.**Responsibilities:**- Operate asphalt finish and roller equipment safely and efficiently- Monitor material being laid to ensure a consistent, high-quality surface- Adjust roller pressure and speed based on surface conditions and project specs- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment- Communicate with crew members and foreman to coordinate movement and coverage- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues promptly- Work in varying outdoor weather conditions and adapt to project changes**Qualifications:**- Previous experience operating asphalt finishers and/or rollers- Valid drivers license; CDL preferred but not required- Knowledge of paving procedures and compaction techniques- Ability to read and interpret project plans and instructions- Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working long hours when needed- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods**Preferred Skills:**- OSHA 10/30 certification- Experience with commercial and municipal paving projects- Mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting
