Lake Charles, LA, USA | Hourly | 23-28 per hour per diem also offered | Full Time I.A.F.D. Inc. is looking for Carbon Welders + Competitive Pay ($23.00 - 28.00) depending on experience/skill + Local to Lake Charles + Per Diem $30.00/day + Stick and Flux core Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: weld test taken. Requirements: + Must be at least 21 years old. + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. + Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years. + Must have a TWIC + Must have experience as a Welder in Industrial Construction. + Must be willing to support other craft if need be + Sound understanding of industrial construction safety. + Pass a Performance weld test Responsibilities: + Weld along vertical, horizontal, or overhead weld lines. + Examine weld for bead size and other specifications. + Must be able to set up and/or troubleshoot welding machines as needed. + Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. + Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces. + Follow all safety requirements + Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.
