Commercial Estimator in Omaha,NE,US

We are seeking skilled, motivated Estimator to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for estimating labor and materials costs, communicating financial cost, and creating project timelines in the metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings field. You must have a keen attention to detail and skills at estimating projects from a bird's-eye view in order to set our client's expectations accurately. Estimator Duties and Responsibilities Set the example by living the Company core Values: Take Charge - Willingness to Help - Positive Quiet Confidence - Do What You Say You Will Do - Loyalty to the Company Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner Assess projects by identifying project requirements (in regard to time, labor, and material costs) Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents in order to prepare estimates Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation in order to ensure overall accuracy Participate in the calculation, analyzation, and adjustment of estimates Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner Recommend cost-reduction options Negotiate sales of projects Create project start-up documents for the project managers to include: budgets, stocking reports, submittals, and vendor quotes. Estimator Requirements and Qualifications Computer skills (Microsoft office, Excel, Outlook) Proficient in Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff 3-5 years' experience as an estimator, or project manager in the metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings field Mathematical and spelling skills required Ability to work independently with little supervision Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills Time management skills
