NASAs Space Launch System (SLS) will be the most powerful rocket ever built, engineered to support deep space exploration. This groundbreaking program plays a key role in launching missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of human spaceflight!Key Duties:- Perform production fabrication, assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and modifications on human-rated spacecraft and ground systems.- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical system faults in spacecraft and ground systems.- Conduct operational maintenance, refurbishment, and verification of assembly accuracy, including self-inspection duties.- Perform functional checks on installed systems, document assembly tasks, and coordinate work priorities with management.:Travel: {#display_hua_travel_id}None: {#display_ats_requisition_requirements}Required Skills, Experience, and Education:- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.- This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.- Ability to pass physical examination (visual acuity, color perception, respiratory, etc.) to meet production certification and safety requirements.- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID.- Ability to work any shift assigned (1st or 2nd) and work overtime, if needed.- 1 or more years of related experience.- Experience drilling, installing, and repairing composite materials.- Experience with the tools, equipment, installation techniques, and acceptance criteria for a broad range of fastener types, including threaded fasteners, threaded inserts, tubular rivets, solid rivets, blind bolts, and lock bolts.- Experience working on human-rated spacecraft hardware.- Experience as a task lead of structural assembly lifts and moves.- Previous Boeing technical certifications and training.- Previous experience and training in Boeing Common System production software applications (MES-CAPP, NCM) and model-based instructions (MBI).- Familiarity with the installation and torquing of aerospace fluid lines.- Experience with close-tolerance hole drilling.- Familiarity with aerospace fastener installation.- Experience with safety wire and cotter pin installation.- High School diploma or equivalent.Desired Skills, Experience, or Education:- Experience performing precision orbital welds on tubing and components, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and quality requirements.Business Profile:Cimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
