For information on our international network visit www.colas.com.Job SummaryBarrett Paving Materials is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pipe Layer Laborer to join our team in Mid West Central. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our construction and infrastructure projects, contributing to the installation of underground piping systems.Main ResponsibilitiesAssist in the layout and installation of piping systems, including stormwater, sewer, and water lines.Prepare and clean work sites, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.Collaborate with pipe layers and construction crew to ensure safe and efficient work practices.Operate hand and power tools, as well as heavy machinery as needed.Dig trenches and prepare surfaces for pipe installation.Maintain proper safety protocols and procedures on the job site.Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in construction, labor, or a related field is an advantage.Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.Valid driver's license is a must.Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
