Design. This role offers the opportunity to shape ideas into impactful, well-crafted designs. Exceptional modeling, graphic, and conceptual skills are essential, along with the initiative to work both collaboratively and independently. Design excellence is pursued through active engagement in charrettes, dialogue, and the continual refinement of ideas. Contributions will support the creation of meaningful, innovative work that resonates with people and place.
Project Execution. Contributing to all phases of project delivery - technical and administrativethis position plays a vital part in advancing design integrity through execution. Working closely with Project Captains and Project Managers, this role supports the development and coordination of drawing sets and deliverables that uphold the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and clarity.
Team Leadership. Great teams don't just happen - they are built through shared purpose, respect, and communication. This role supports team unity through clear communication, mentorship, and an openness to diverse perspectives. As a young leader within the studio, this person helps guide collaborative workflows and fosters an environment where other staff are supported and empowered. The position also plays a key part in championing the firm's culture - one rooted in growth, care, and the belief that design can make a real and lasting difference.
Quality Control and Technical Standards. At the heart of design excellence is precision. This role ensures that project documentation reflects both the firm's technical rigor and each client's specific requirements, contributing to a body of work that is consistent, resilient, and visionary.
Collaboration and Engagement. Participation in a broader ecosystem of collaborators is essential. This role encourages active engagement with internal and external teams, as well as involvement in professional and industry events that extend the impact of the firm's values and voice.
Culture Stewardship. More than a workplace, Practice is a platform for shared values and collective aspiration. This role helps nurture and embody the studio's mission and guiding principles - Co-Creation, Inclusive Impact, Holistic Sustainability, Joy, Listening, and Optimism. Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of postgraduate professional experience.
Professional degree in architecture (MArch or BArch).
DSA, or experience in affordable housing, is a plus but not a requirement.
Experience with Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, Lumion, digital fabrication, Microsoft Office, hand sketching, etc.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 + benefits package.
