A hoist is a machine designed to lift heavy loads, such as industrial machinery, building material or even people. These unique machines make difficult or impossible tasks manageable in industries such as construction, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation and more.Custom Hoists, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated 2nd shift General Laborer to join our dynamic team. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for the efficient transportation and preparation of various parts and products offered in our product line.This position performs a combination of production tasks under the guidance of a supervisor, foreman and/or senior employee.What You'll DoComply and follow all safety rules and protocolsPerform quality checks and be on alert for preventative quality measuresKeep area clean and free of debris and unnecessary items on a daily basis; Leave area clean and organized at end of shiftMaintain flexibility in job assignment; Ability to flex work assignment as workflow ebbs and flowsOperate crane hoists, carts, and walk-behind lifts to transport WIPOperate machines, such as wash tanks, as instructed, following all standard procedures and safety protocolsHandle fluids as instructed on labels and MSDS sheetsPerform all change-overs for tooling adjustments as required, following safety protocolsCorrectly interpret drawing dimensions, quality specifications, and other critical featuresCommunicate machine maintenance or performance issues to supervisor, foreman, or maintenance immediatelyTransport product components from storage areas to staging areas for downstream processOperate machines, such as wash tanks, to prepare components for downstream processPerform various tasks as assigned by supervisors, foremen, and/or leadership as workflow and staffing ebbs and flowsCommunicate with team members regarding workflow needs and changesWhat You'll BringAbility to stand on concrete for extended periods of timeAbility to carry, push, pull, bend, reach, and lift parts up to 50lbs.Ability to read (or learn to read) a tape measure and other measurement toolingAbility to interpret (or learn to interpret) part drawing dimensions and quality specificationsMust pass background check and have a clean drug screenHighschool diploma or GEDWhat We ValueManufacturing experience (Preferred)Proven longevity with employmentBenefitsMedical, Dental, & Vision InsuranceHSA/FSALife & AD&D Insurance401(k) MatchingEAPEqual Opportunity Employer.
