Pay:
Project Architect
Adept is an interdisciplinary development, design and construction group located in Pasadena CA. Our practice has evolved over 25 years with projects throughout Southern California. Through our in-house design, development, and construction teams, we manage and construct projects from inception to completion both internally, and via third-party entities, and it is this unique capability that has provided us the flexibility to create our own innovative and site sensitive work. Typically, our practice focuses on large-scale multi-family housing as an integral component of mixed-use and transit-oriented development, though we also specialize in the sustainable adaptive reuse of office buildings into thoughtful new living environments. Our expertise also extends to assisted living senior care and medical/research office developments, and, more recently, entertainment and commercial work in conjunction with, or as a catalyst for, new mixed-use housing.
We are seeking Project Manager/Architect candidates who have experience with the latest project management tools for integrating design and construction, allowing greater efficiency, transparency, and improved construction cost workflow. Such candidates should have demonstrated leadership and experience in all aspects of multi-family and commercial design and construction for mixed-use projects. Institutional building experience is desirable. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience using Revit to provide integrated contract documents and be comfortable with all aspects of project management inclusive of collaborating in small teams and performing construction administration. Aside from an understanding of real-world design implications, potential candidates will assist with cost data accounting and pricing as part of the design process and financial pro-forma delivery.
Desired Qualifications
Licensed Architect (California preferred)
Motivated to work in an integrated non-traditional design focused practice.
12+ years of project management and hands-on experience in Revit software for design and the creation of construction documents as well as construction planning and coordination.
Focus on implementation of building code and coordination of consultant information into construction documents. Experience with CoPilot a plus.
Preferred integrated use of Autodesk Build for construction administration.
Experience with Type V, Type III residential/commercial as well as Type I construction for institutional and commercial projects detailing and coordination.
Demonstrated experience pro-actively supporting design, production, and construction teams.
Experience using Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Sensitivity to design, aesthetics, and cost implications of decision-making
Compensation
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience ($100K-$150K)
Medical benefits package, 401K plan.
