Journeyman Electrician

A Commercial Electrical Company in Austin, TX is seeking skilled Journeyman Electricians to join their team for projects in South and Downtown Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial electrical work, including renovations and installations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, the ability to read schematics, bend pipe, and proficiency with both hand tools and power tools. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards while maintaining safety and efficiency in all tasks, as well as guiding Apprentice Electricians on the project. We are strictly seeking JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIANS (4+ years) at this time.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
• Renovate existing electrical systems to improve functionality and efficiency.
• Use voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Work with high voltage systems safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including laborers, to complete projects on time.
• Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all electrical work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience/Requirements

• Proven experience (4+ years) as a commercial Journeyman Electrician.
• A valid Journeyman Electrical License from the TDLR.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
• Familiarity with using voltmeters, power tools, hand tools, and other relevant equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Own hand tools and basic PPE for the job.

Pay:

$32-36/hr depending on experience.
