A Geotechnical Engineer applies learned skills and technical ability to site and building projects by testing earth materials, evaluating they engineering properties, and estimating the materials' response to loading. Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: -A BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering -5+ years of relevant work experience with traditional geotechnical engineering -Candidate must possess experience performing geotechnical engineering consulting in both private and public work sectors -Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year -Strong technical skills in a wide range of geotechnical analysis and design -Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needs -Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, design software for deep foundations (Lpile, GRLWEAP), and slope stability modeling. -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds. -Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship -Good driving record Company Benefits The use of a company vehicle Health, dental, vision and HSA 3 weeks PTO 401k up to 5% match Must be able to pass drug screen and background check and have good driving record.
