We have built a reputation for being timely, producing the highest qualityperformance and work output, unprecedented customer service, safety focus, and unwavering reliability.We are looking to hire an excavation laborer to join our growing team!POSITION SUMMARYJob Description:Operators must be self-motivated and hardworking individuals, with a minimum of 3-5 years? experience operatinga variety of heavy equipment. Operators play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient operations on project sitesand should have the ability to not only efficiently operate equipment but also understand proper maintenance toensure machines are functioning properly.Position Responsibilities:- Operating heavy construction equipment such as excavator, backhoe, bulldozer, front-end loader, andgrader- Basic maintenance of heavy construction equipment- Daily pre- and post-inspections of equipment- Loading, Unloading and Transporting heavy equipment as needed in a safe manner- Loading and unloading materials, hauling dirt and transporting equipment to and from job sites- Removing debris and hazards from job sites- Cleaning tools, equipment, vehicles and job sites- Lift, carry and manually transport construction materials, tools and supplies- Adherent to safety policies and procedures; including conducting daily safety briefings- Working with others and promoting a teamwork environment- Handle interactions with team members, subcontractors, customers and the public in a professional andrespectful manner- And/or other assigned dutiesPosition Qualifications:- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods of time- Competence in using basic construction equipment, tools and vehicles- Competency with construction mathematics- Ability to read civil engineering plans, survey markings, and utility locates- Knowledge of sewer, water & underground infrastructure- Ability to handle physical workload- Must be able to work in changing weather conditions including rain, sun, snow and wind- Strong work ethic: reliable, dependable, and effective communication skills- Must have own vehicle to drive to and from job sites- Must have clean driving record- Must have CDLSalary Range: $20-$35 per hourBenefits:- Pay is based on experience and qualifications- Employees are eligible for overtime compensation after they work greater than 40 hours in a work week- No healthcare benefits offered at this time, nor is paid time off
