Shop Welder/Fabricator

Shop Welder/Fabricator Job Duties: Complete all training provided by the company and follow all safety practices. Layout, fabricate and repair equipment and tooling. Machine parts as needed. Work with mechanics on equipment fabrication. Operate overhead hoist and forklift. Read blueprints. Utilize knowledge of related tools and equipment. Apply knowledge of proper use of shop equipment, including bandsaw, ironworker, lathes, overhead cranes, etc. Setup, produce and complete assigned projects. Utilize knowledge of cutting, grinding, drilling and welding. Repair drill tooling used in field operations. Utilize torch cutting methods. Utilize machinist experience as well as experience in welding, wire feed, and stick welding. Minimum Education Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent. Minimum required experience: Two (2) years of experience, which must include experience in SMAW welding, GMAW welding and air arc.
