Operations Manager - Commercial Roofing

Nations Roof is one of the largest commercial roofing contractors, ranked in the Top 5 Roofing Contractors in the US. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.

The Operations Manager, under the direct supervision of the President (or other direct report listed above), is responsible for providing leadership for all daily operations control’s operations meetings, warehouse, and fleet management, project quality control and safety.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage all operations aspects of roofing projects to ensure performance, efficiency, and profitability, from bid inspections to project closeout.
• Directly supervise field personnel and subcontractors to maximize productivity, ensure safety and quality workmanship in roof system installations, and meet company expectations.
• Oversee project management activities, including client communication, scheduling, material procurement, progress tracking, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical roofing expertise, collaborate with internal teams (sales, estimating, project management), and drive continuous improvement in work methods, safety, and team development (recruiting, training, performance management).
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively plan, organize and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Ability to read blueprints and specifications. Intermediate computer skills required. (Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to budget, measure department and motivate personnel.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. Five years commercial roofing experience or an equivalent market, manufacturing or distribution experience servicing the commercial roofing marketplace. Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and/or construction operation management experience, highly preferred.
