This role is hybrid based in Strykers Global HQ in Portage, MI, with the expectation to come into the office 3-4 days a week
What You Will Do:- Design and develop schematics and PCB layouts for electronic circuit boards in medical devices, ensuring alignment with system requirements.
- Develop, review, and execute electrical system tests using advanced equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) to validate performance and reliability.
- Identify and evaluate solutions to complex product design challenges, balancing tradeoffs at the component and sub-system levels.
- Development, creation, and refinement of technical documentation, including schematics, design descriptions, stack-up calculations, and manufacturing test specifications.
- Interface with manufacturers to define and implement manufacturing test specifications for scalable production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management to drive project success.
- Build relationships and influence across engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
- Deliver high-quality results with passion, energy, and a strong commitment to meeting business priorities such as process improvements, technology advancements, and product development from concept to launch.
What You Need Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline
- 2+ years of work experience.
- Advanced understanding of electrical components and manufacturing methods, including common failure modes.
- Experience in interpreting and analyzing system drawings with basic Mechanical/Software/Electrical Interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and test electrical designs.
- Working knowledge of the electrical design process.
- Proficiency in the use of CAD and/or other circuit design and analysis tools to design.
- Knowledge of standard technologies used in industry.
