Description: PURPOSE OF POSITION: To ensure the smooth operation of Mark

Miller Construction, LLC (MMC) projects with attention to quality,

detail & complete customer satisfaction. To ensure effective material

handling, on the job safety, & to bring each MMC project to a timely &

profitable completion. Lead Carpenter is directly responsible for the

quality, timeliness, and efficiency of the production team. It is the

Lead Carpenter\'s duty to ensure that each project is produced in a

timely fashion and cost efficiency. Qualifications: Applicant should

have at least five years of carpentry experience and have a thorough

understanding of rough, finish carpentry, and all trades associated with

home remodeling. The position requires the ability and willingness to

work in a team and a willingness to interact with other Mark Miller

Construction LLC employees and clients. Strong communication skills are

vital. All candidates must have a valid driver\'s license & reliable

transportation. Lead Carpenter position is responsible for working with

MMC Owner on various projects. A working knowledge of home remodeling

from demolition to finish carpentry is required. Must be a \"people\"

person as communication and maintaining client satisfaction throughout

the construction process is critical. Physical Ability: Physically fit &

able to perform a wide variety of tasks in any weather condition. Able

to commonly lift and carry up to 100 lbs. of lumber, equipment and other

materials for up to 50 yards on rough, uneven terrain. Worker must be

able to work above 8\' heights. Language Skills: Good written and verbal

communication in English Reasoning Ability: Able to listen and follow

Responsibilities: Perform carpentry tasks with the highest quality of

craftsmanship in the time allotted. Keep informed of the entire project

scope including revisions, change orders or changes to the scope of work

and the schedule. Lead a team of carpenter and or carpenter assistants

to perform remodeling tasks. Ability to communicate clearly and

effectively with the Owner, subcontractors, and clients as the Lead

Carpenter is the working jobsite manager. Responsible for jobsite

safety, cleanliness, security and protection from the elements. Ensure a

first aid kit is always on site. Check the job site daily and

communicate any discrepancies to the Owner. Inform the Owner of

specialty items needed. Always act in a manner as to represent the

principles of Mark Miller Construction LLC. No smoking on the job. Hold

themselves and all carpenters under their direction accountable for

their work performance, actions, and appearance. Neat appearance,

courteous manner and respectful of customers, subcontractors and other

workers. Responsible for the production of projects in accordance with

the plans and specifications. Participate and prepare for on-site

meetings with client & owner. Daily communication through cell phone

texting/photos is required. Emailing as needed. Maintain a good attitude

even through adversity. Be able to be a \"problem solver\" without the

Searching for an experienced, remodeling carpenter or someone who is

willing to learn their basic carpentry skills. Production conscientious

work habits. Proficiently & safely operate all hand tools, power tools &

equipment required to produce job. Physical Ability: Physically fit &

remodel jobs. Must own basic carpentry tools: Tool belt is to be worn at

all times, except when hauling materials. \* A carpenter tool belt,

\*Screwdriver with multiple bits \* 6\" square \* Chalk box \* Nail sets

\*Wood chisel \*tin snipes DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Expertly perform

all phases of carpentry required to complete the job. This diversified

business includes remodeling, new construction & home repair - large &

small jobs. Willingness & ability to perform a diverse variety of

remodeling tasks. The job site is to be set up organized & efficiently

to bring about a quality, finished project. Daily job site set up &

dismantle, delegate to laborer, if appropriate. Determine what tools &

equipment will be need for the day. Verify truck, trailer & equipment is

locked & secured. Demonstrate good communication with Owner & customer

as needed. Communicate with customer in a respectful manner. Refer all

customer questions to Owner; keep track of them on paper with date. Keep

track of job site paperwork: material receipts & instructions,

warranties, etc. Maintain all equipment, pack lumber & equipment, report

needed repairs. Keep all tools, equipment & supplies neat & orderly.

Maintain a clean job site Utilize all material in the most profitable

way. Use the appropriate fasteners for the job. Observe & correct any

safety violations. Use of safety devices required, such as safety

glasses, etc. Daily communication through cell phone texting/photos is

required. Electronic communication through e-mail. Further duties will
