Summary
Reporting to the Manager - Facilities, the CAD Designer (Co-Op) is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility.
Work Term: Fall 2025 - September 2 to December 19, 2025
Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 Days per Week)
Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd., Etobicoke, ON
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD
- Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C's design standards
- Ensure backup of all CAD designs
- Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system
- Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects are following project timelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C's drawing process
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Registered in a diploma or degree engineering co-op program (mechanical, industrial or manufacturing)
- Eligible for a 4 month Co-op Term (Fall 2025)
- Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD
- Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, resourceful
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
