Equipment Operator (Night Shift)

Position Summary

Responsible for operating a variety of off-road trucks and equipment utilized in aggregates/mining sites.

Shift Hours: 5pm - 5am

This shift will include a night shift differential.

Requirements

• Perform daily inspections of the vehicle
• Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor, clean equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Dozer, excavator, and loader experience.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1-year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities.

Physical Requirements & Conditions

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and seasons
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling machinery.

Working Conditions

The job will require operating large equipment which is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions, heat, cold, wet, or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
