Pump Technician Asst/General Laborer

Full-time position with overtimeWage $18-$25/hr Depending on experience. Benefits include: One week (40 hrs) of sick leave and one week (40 hours) of vacation time,$300/month towards health insurance, up to 4% match towards retirement in a Simple IRA through Edward Jones.Summary:Singley Drilling Inc. is looking for a dedicated employee to work as a Pump Assistant and General Laborer. Singley Drilling Inc. has served Central Montana in its water needs since 1911 with a reputation of honesty, safety, and professionalism. We provide high quality service by following current best practice as well as 114 years of cumulative knowledge.Key Responsibilities:This position focus will be work on pumping systems for new and existing customers, but will be required to assist with drilling or servicing water wells when needed.Examples:Assist the Pump Technician in operating and maintaining the Pump Rig.Follow safety procedures and regulations.Plan and design pumping systems to meet customer needs.Implement the plan by constructing a high quality, professional system.Keeping regular inventory of pumping system parts.Driving and maintaining company vehicles.Interact with customers professionally and respectfully.Assist in General Labor while drilling a well if needed (shoveling, gathering materials, starting/tailing pipe, site clean up, etc.)Other duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications:Ability to lift 50+ poundsAbility to stand for 2+ hoursWilling to travel in company vehicles to job sites in a 2+ hour radiusWork Environment:Pumping systems vary in their location. Some are in well houses, pits in the ground, or inside the home. May have to work in tight spaces. Drilling sites are outdoors in various types of weather and involve mud, water, and other earth materials. Work will also be completed in the Singley Drilling Shop and may involve larger equipment and shop tools. Candidates must be able to keep all work areas clean and organized.Additional Information:This position is not just a job, but a career opportunity.
