General Laborer

Miller Brother Staffing is looking for a motivated general laborer for a manufacturing company based in New Castle, PA.****Position:** Laborer**Shift: **Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. Overtime possible**Pay: $18.00 - $20 Based off of experience ****Benefits:** Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, 401K**Summary:**The General Laborer is responsible for providing assistance to skilled employees. This employee must be physically able to handle a strenuous environment, hardworking, must be able to run a forklift and able to follow instructions rapidly and proficiently. **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- Unload delivery of material and cargo from suppliers- Load and unload material, and move material through work areas- Operate machinery such as fork trucks and skid steers- Operation of overhead cranes- General maintenance and repair of industrial equipment- Clean up work areas- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor- Helping in the paint department, drilling, loading trucks, blasting, material handling, has some experience with forklifts and cranes. **NECESSARY SKILLS**- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds- Must have general mechanical knowledge- Must know how to use basic hand tools- Must be able to safely operate overhead cranes and fork trucks- Must be able to change direction often as needed- Must be willing to learn and expand knowledge daily- Must work well with others- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed**PREFERRED SKILLS**- Fork truck operators training and certification- Experience in heavy fabrication setting
