Electrical Hardness Design Engineer

Contract Position
$40.70-$45.70/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design and construct electrical harness systems for the next generation of military combat vehicles.
Select components for harness design including connectors, backshells, sleeving, sealants, boots, and transitions.
Define and layout harness routing through vehicle structures, including multi-branch configurations.
Design to meet environmental requirements such as vibration, temperature extremes, chemical exposure, and submersion.
Develop harnesses using Capital Harness System (CHS) tools such as Harness XC , Capital Logic , and Capital Topology .
Collaborate with CAD drafters to route harnesses in Pro-E Creo and/or NX .
Generate and release drawings for harnesses, installations, and wiring diagrams.
Coordinate with systems engineers for pin-level interconnects and with physical architects for routing channels and space claims.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant post-graduate work experience.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Experience using Capital Harness System (CHS) including Harness XC , Capital Logic , and Capital Topology preferred.
Proficiency with Pro-E Creo , NX , and Microsoft Visio desirable.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite .
Experience in vehicle environments or ground combat vehicles is a plus.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
