Pipe Fitter Opportunity 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday Job Description: The Pipe Fitter fabricates natural gas fueled gas train assemblies and burners for industrial HVAC units. Using drawings, the Pipe Fitter assembles steel pipe and pipe fittings to various components (such as gauges, valves and regulators) to make a gas train. The Pipe Fitter fabricates burners by stick welding burner pieces together. The Pipe Fitter installs the finished burners and gas trains into the HVAC units using various hand tools such as pipe wrenches, hole saws, and drills. The Pipe Fitter also operates a drill presses and pipe threader for his or her work. The detail steps of fabricating gas trains and burners will be taught to a new Pipe Fitter, however, MIG welding experience is required. Qualifications: High school diploma or any combination equivalent to high school. Basic understanding of MIG welding is required. Proficient in pipe fitting heating/cooling systems preferred.
